AI can help create greater value, improve product validation and discovery efforts and foster effective Product Ownership. Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) is an interactive, hands-on course designed to empower Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts to understand, leverage, and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support their job and teams. This course builds on the Professional Scrum Product Owner™ (PSPO)and Professional Scrum Product Owner™ – Advanced (PSPO-A) courses by exploring the application of AI within the various stances of a Product Owner. The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognized Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AI Essentials) certification exam.

What you will learn

In this one day* course students engage in discussions and exercises to explore practical
uses of AI tools and techniques across each stance of the Product Owner. In addition to
the traditional stances, students are introduced to a new stance, focusing on ethics and
security, providing essential guidance on adopting AI responsibly and securely within an
organization.
Throughout this course, attendees will gain the skills and confidence to harness AI
effectively, ensuring they remain at the forefront of delivering value in an ever-evolving
digital landscape. The Product Owner of tomorrow masters AI—this training ensures you
are prepared for that future.


* When offered in-person, this course is generally delivered over two consecutive days. When offered as a Live Virtual Class, the course may be broken up into more, shorter days.

Course Learning outcomes

This course introduces Product Owners and related professionals to the fundamentals of AI and its applications in modern product development. When a student leaves the classroom they will be able to:

  • Explain key concepts in AI, including machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and agentic AI

All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials course receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Product Owner-AI Essentials (PSPO-AIEssentials) assessment. The industry-recognized PSPO-AI Essentials certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. Class participants of official Scrum.org classes who attempt the PSPO-AI Essentials assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost.

Professional Scrum certifications are yours for life with no renewal costs to retain them. Once you pass the assessment, you will retain that certification, you will be listed on the Scrum.org website and remain there forever with no additional future costs.

Our courses are intentionally kept small to guarantee a premium learning experience. In instances where a course exceeds 10 attendees, we ensure the quality is maintained by having a second trainer in our classes

You won’t receive a refund or assessment codes, but we’ll gladly welcome you into a future class at no extra cost. Course Content Questions:

The PSPO I certification is achieved by taking an online PSPO I assessment, which is not proctored and can be completed at your convenience following the course.

The PSPO I assessment is comprised of 80 multiple choice questions that must be completed in 60 minutes. The pass mark is 85%. The course fee provides up to 2 attempts at the PSPO I assessment.

This assessment can be taken from any location using an internet-connected computer, offering you the flexibility to schedule it according to your own timeline.

The PSPO course provides participants with a deep understanding of Scrum and strategies to enhance a product’s value by leveraging Scrum. Beneficial for Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and others involved in product development, it focuses on maximizing product value through Scrum’s empirical approach.

The course fosters a holistic product management mindset, creating shared understanding and collaboration with teams. Product Development is emphasised as a strategic and tactical team engagement, involving frequent product validation through inspection and adaptation. This closely aligns with Scrum’s principles for continuous improvement
