Overview

Professional Agile Leadership (PAL) Essentials is a 2-day workshop designed to provide a foundation for the role that leaders play in creating the conditions for a successful agile transformation. Leaders and managers are critical enablers in helping their organisations be successful, yet the role of leaders and managers in an agile organisation can be quite different from what they are used to. This class uses a combination of instruction and team-based exercises to help participants learn how to form and support agile teams to achieve better results, and how to lead the cultural and behavioural changes that organisations must make to reap the benefits of an agile product delivery approach.

A hands-on, activity-based class in which managers and leaders of agile teams gain a strong understanding of how to best support, guide, and coach their teams to create the conditions for great agility.

Where to go next

Unlock the power of measurable results with our PAL-EBM course. In this hands-on, one-day workshop, you'll explore the Evidence-Based Management (EBM) framework, designed to help leaders drive better outcomes and agility within their organisations. Through interactive exercises, you'll learn practical techniques to foster an agile mindset and apply EBM practices that support continuous improvement, measurement, and informed decision-making. With markets and customer needs constantly changing, organisations need information and evidence that helps them adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities so that they can deliver greater value and achieve true business agility. Yet often organisations that use Agile product development techniques use traditional management approaches, expecting leaders to set firm long-term goals and manage progress toward them with dashboards of static metrics. That is why Scrum.org created the Evidence-Based Management (EBM) framework which is an Agile approach to help leaders guide their teams toward continuously improving customer outcomes, organisational capabilities, and business results. EBM focuses on customer value and intentional experimentation to systematically improve an organisation's performance and achieve its strategic goals. In this one-day course, participants learn what EBM is and how to apply it through hands-on, activity-based learning. * When offered as a live online class, the course may be broken up into more, shorter days.
